The Best Falafel
Ingredients
- 1 can chickpeas, rinsed and thoroughly drained
- 1/2 red onion, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro
- 3 cloves garlic, quartered
- 1 tsp sea salt, 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 1/12 tsp ground cumin
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1/4 tsp cayenne
- 3/4 of a lemon's juice
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1 tbsp @caoliveranch Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 1/4 cup @letsbebessties "Bread" Crumbs
Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
- Place everything except for the chickpeas, baking soda, and @letsbebessties "bread" crumbs in a food processor. Pulse and process until just minced
- Add remaining ingredients and process until just smooth (~1 min), scraping the sides as needed
- Form into balls using 1-2 tbsp of mixture. Add and mix in more @letsbebessties "Bread" Crumbs if the balls need help holding their shake
- Bake for 30-35 minutes
- Place balls on a bed of your favorite flavor @IthacaHummus and drizzle with @caoliveranch olive oil - enjoy these delish falafel!
